As much as I hate Twilight, I really dislike this post, because of its flawed nature.
Twilight sucks for a myriad of reasons, but it essentially is a love story (albeit a poor one). If you remove the essence of what the series is, of course it’s bound to be a senseless story. Using the same principle, by comparison, removing the essence of The Hunger Games, which is a dystopian world where kids battle to the death, would also render the series a senseless one, i.e. it’ll be a story about how Katniss is poor, goes hunting with Gale, and is intently watched by Baker Boy Peeta. That’s a best seller right there, obviously.
